Celestron EdgeHD 925 9.25" Optical Tube Assembly 91040-XLT Explore celestial wonders with Celestron?s Edge HD 9.25 Optical tube assembly, this state-of-the-art telescope allows you to see the universe in HD. The aplanatic Schmidt telescope is designed to produce aberration-free images across a wide visual and photographic field of view. The telescope gives you a true astrograph quality that allows you to easily pinpoint stars across a curved focal plane. The telescope?s HD optics produces a focal plane more than three times flatter than a standard Schmidt Cassegrain telescope which not only creates rounder more pleasing stars but actually improves the resolution and limiting magnitude, when compared to telescopes of equal aperture. Other notable features of this telescope include a number of mechanical features like mirror clutches and tube vents. The cooling vents located on the rear cell allow hot air to be released from the primary mirror. Each vent has an integrated 60 micron mesh filter guaranteed to let warm air out without allowing dust in.
